Gamma-terpinene has been isolated from a variety of plant sources including citrus fruits, coriander, cumin, celery, grapes, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and pepper. Due to its strong lemon odor, gamma-terpinene is widely used in food, flavors, soaps, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, confectionery, and perfume industries.
