Ocimene
Ocimene is one of the less common but highly sought-after terpenes in cannabis. Ocimene exudes subtle notes that can range from wet fresh linens to a more sweet almost peppermint fragrance. Because of this, it is often used in perfumes and colognes. Ocimene has also been found to have antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and antibacterial effects. This combined with its pleasant aroma makes it an ideal ingredient for deodorants, lotions, and surface cleaners.
Ocimene is found in many herbs and fruits. Tarragon is among the highest ocimene containing herbs. Other sources of ocimene include mint, parsley, mangos, oregano, and kumquats.
